Fans of global music icon Beyoncé have begun calling for her to divorce her husband, rapper and entrepreneur Jay-Z, following the bombshell allegations that he raped a 13-year-old girl with

back in 2000 at a house party.
The fresh allegations involving sexual assault against a minor rocked the headlines this morning, sparking a fresh wave of controversy. The allegations came to light on Monday morning in an amended lawsuit filed in federal court. The lawsuit was originally filed in October in the Southern District of New York and at that time did not name Jay-Z as a defendant, though the amended lawsuit says that Jay-Z was identified as “Celebrity A” on the original complaint.
The suit alleges that the unnamed girl was drugged and raped by both Jay-Z and Combs at a party hosted by Combs following the MTV Music Awards in 2000 in New York.
The allegations have shaken the entertainment world and led to online backlash. Fans of Beyonce have stormed Twitter to ask the singer to end her marriage with the rapper and ‘file for divorce’. Many fans on platforms such as Twitter, Instagram, and TikTok have expressed their concern, urging the singer to make a decision in light of these serious allegatons.”Beyoncé take Adele’s advice and divorce that man,” wrote a fan, while another added, “if you don’t divorce this man he cheated on you and now this.”
Another said, “I’m surprised Beyonce stayed with him and didn’t divorce him after all these years.”
Beyoncé, known for her powerful stance on issues of empowerment, social justice, and family values, has long been seen as a role model for many. With the ongoing controversy, others predicted that a divorce announcement would be imminent.
The couple, who have been married for over a decade and share three children – Blue Ivy, Rumi and Sir.
Jay-Z fired back at the lawyer bringing the case, accusing him of being a “deplorable human.”
“My lawyer received a blackmail attempt, called a demand letter, from a ‘lawyer’ named Tony Buzbee. What he had calculated was the nature of these allegations and the public scrutiny would make me want to settle. No sir, it had the opposite effect! It made me want to expose you for the fraud you are,” said a statement published on X by Jay-Z’s label Roc Nation.
“These allegations are so heinous in nature that I implore you to file a criminal complaint, not a civil one!! Whomever would commit such a crime against a minor should be locked away, would you not agree? These alleged victims would deserve real justice if that were the case.”
“My only heartbreak is for my family,” Carter said in the statement. “My wife and I will have to sit our children down, one of whom is at the age where her friends will surely see the press and ask questions about the nature of these claims, and explain the cruelty and greed of people. I mourn yet another loss of innocence.”
Tony Buzbee, the Texas lawyer representing the girl, has filed at least 20 civil lawsuits against Combs accusing him of sexual misconduct. In an email to Reuters, Buzbee said the Jay-Z lawsuit “speaks for itself.”
“This is a very serious matter that will be litigated in court,” Buzbee wrote.
Buzbee, in his amended lawsuit, says his legal firm had previously sent Jay-Z a letter seeking to mediate a settlement. The rapper, however, responded to that letter by filing a lawsuit against Buzbee, and alleged that he used an intimidation tactic to silence the victim.
