Jay-Z accused of raping 13-year-old with Sean 'Diddy' Combs in bombshell civil lawsuit; rapper calls allegations 'HEINOUS'

Jay-Z has been named in a civil lawsuit that accuses both him and Sean ‘

Diddy

‘ Combs of allegedly raping a 13-year-old girl in 2000. According to a bombshell report on NBC News, the lawsuit filed by the Texas-based Tony Buzbee was originally filed in October in the Southern District of New York and listed Combs as the defendant. The report was refiled Sunday to include Jay-Z, whose full name is Shawn Carter.
The accuser, named as ‘Jane Doe’ in the suit, has alleged that the assault happened a house party after the MTV Video Music Awards in New York. The lawsuit details that the alleged victim was dropped off at the Radio City Music Hall. On being unable to get a ticket, she reportedly approached various limousine drivers to gain access to the show or an after-party.
The suit claims that one driver alleged that he worked for Combs and that she “fit what Diddy was looking for.” The man later picked the girl up, and after 20 minutes they arrived at a white house with a U-shaped driveway. According to the report, the teenager had to allegedly sign a document that she believed was a ‘nondisclosure agreement’ to enter the party. She however, did not receive a copy of the same.
Once inside, she alleged that the house was filled with celebrities and people doing marijuana and cocaine. After being offered a drink, she recalled feeling “woozy, lightheaded and felt [like] she needed to lie down.”

On going into a room to rest, she alleged that Combs and Carter entered and asked, “You are ready to party!”
She then goes on to detail the assault, alleging that Carter took off her clothes and proceeded to rape her while Diddy and an unnamed female friend watched on.
Texas-based attorney Tony Buzbee, who filed the suit in October, did not comment.
Reacting to the shocking allegations, Jay-Z said in a statement to NBC News, “These allegations are so heinous in nature that I implore you to file a criminal complaint, not a civil one!!”

In his statement, he went on to add, “Whomever would commit such a crime against a minor should be locked away, would you not agree? These alleged victims would deserve real justice if that were the case.”
“My only heartbreak is for my family,” Carter said in the statement. “My wife and I will have to sit our children down, one of whom is at the age where her friends will surely see the press and ask questions about the nature of these claims, and explain the cruelty and greed of people. I mourn yet another loss of innocence.”
Jay-Z is married to Beyonce and the two are parents to three children, Blue Ivy Carter (12) and twins Rumi and Sir (7).
Meanwhile, Diddy’s legal representatives called the suits “shameless publicity stunts, designed to extract payments from celebrities who fear having lies spread about them, just as lies have been spread about Mr Combs.”
“As his legal team has said before, Mr Combs has full confidence in the facts and the integrity of the judicial process. In court, the truth will prevail: that Mr Combs never sexually assaulted or trafficked anyone—man or woman, adult or minor,” the statement read.
The accuser is seeking unspecified damages. The lawsuit is filed under New York’s Victims of Gender-Motivated Violence Protection Act.
In October, Buzbee vowed to file multiple cases on behalf of alleged victims of Combs. That is in addition to the nearly 20 other civil cases and the criminal charges of sex trafficking and more from the feds that Combs is fighting.
Of the half a dozen plaintiffs for Combs’ accused actions between 1995 and 2021 filed in federal court in New York under the Victims of Gender-Motivated Violence Protection Act, one of them was a 19-year old female and one was a 16-year old boy.
Combs has repeatedly denied all the accusations against him. Arrested in mid-September on racketeering, sex trafficking and transportation to engage in prostitution charges that could see him in prison for life if found guilty.
On November 27, a federal judge rejected his most recent bid to be released from New York City’s Metropolitan Detention Center before his May 5, 2025 trial.
