Late Australian tennis great Neale Fraser will receive a state funeral in recognition of his legacy, officials said on Wednesday.

He won three major singles titles, including Wimbledon in 1960, and 16 Grand Slam doubles crowns.
Tennis Australia said Fraser would be honoured at a state funeral service in Melbourne on December 18.
“His passion for tennis and dedication to representing Australia inspired generations of players and fans,” chief executive Craig Tiley said.
In 1959 Fraser won all three US titles — singles, doubles and mixed -– at Forest Hills and led Australia to glory in the Davis Cup, a competition he became synonymous with and captained his country in.
