Manchester United are reportedly looking to part ways with their star forward Marcus Rashford. The 27-year-old Englishman has failed to put up consistent performances for the Red Devils in the last few years. He has majorly gone off the boil recently, leading the club to search for suitable replacements. Manchester United have now identified Brighton and Hove Albion’s Evan Ferguson as Rashford’s ideal replacement at Old Trafford. With Rashford on the list of Ruben Amorim’s discards, Ferguson, the Brighton attacker, has become a prominent target for Manchester United.
Evan Ferguson’s potential and versatility have led to the young Irish striker attracting the attention of several top clubs in Europe. Despite not getting to play enough minutes at Brighton, Ferguson established himself as a top talent in the Premier League. He scored six goals in 19 Premier League games in the 2022-23 season after graduating through Brighton’sacademy. His form recently suffered a blow due to injury concerns which led to him moving down in the pecking order.

Marcus Rashford came through the Manchester United academy. He has featured in 426 games for the club while scoring 138 times and providing 68 assists. Since the beginning of the previous season, Rashford’s form has declined massively. He has scored just seven goals and racked up three assists in 24 games across all competitions this season.
