Veteran actress Sharmila Tagore turned 80 today (December 8), and her family, including Saif Ali Khan, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Soha Ali Khan, Kunal Kemmu, and Sara Ali Khan, came together to mark the special occasion. Sara Ali Khan shared glimpses of the intimate gathering on Instagram.
Sara also treated fans to a cozy birthday lunch organized for Sharmila. The family was seen sitting around a large table in a restaurant, sharing laughter and warm moments. In one photo, Sharmila, seated between Saif and Sara, waved at the camera. Kareena, Kunal, and the little ones, Inaaya Naumi Kemmu and Jeh Ali Khan, were also present in the pictures.

In a heartwarming clip, the family sang the birthday song as Sharmila cut her cake. A funny moment unfolded when Inaaya handed her a large knife, leaving Sharmila pleasantly surprised.
Sara also shared a heartfelt tribute to her grandmother, affectionately calling her “Dadi Jaan” and describing her as “the pride of our family” in the caption. The post featured Sara posing with Sharmila, as well as with Kareena and Saif. Saif, as always, added a playful touch with his expressions in the pictures.
Soha Ali Khan also took to Instagram to share snippets from the celebration. One photo showed Sharmila holding a handmade birthday card by Inaaya, while another captured Jeh pulling a goofy face while sitting on Soha’s lap. In a playful twist, Sharmila photobombed a picture of Soha and Kunal. Soha expressed her gratitude, writing, “Full stomachs and even fuller hearts.”
Saba Ali Khan joined the celebrations by posting a collection of photos featuring Sharmila with family and other guests. Her loving caption read, “My gorgeous Ma. Happiest Birthday. Love you to the moon and back. Stay healthy and in great spirits always.”

Earlier in the day, Kareena Kapoor Khan penned a sweet birthday note for her mother-in-law. She shared photos on Instagram and wrote, “Who’s the coolest Gangsta ever? Do I need to say? Happy birthday to my mother-in-law. Just the Best.”
Sharmila Tagore married cricketer Mansoor Ali Khan Pataudi and became a proud mother to Saif, Soha, and Saba Ali Khan.
