offered a sneak peek into the Nitesh Tiwari directorial, expressing his excitement and honor at portraying Lord Ram on the big screen.
While addressing the gathering, Ranbir shared, “I am currently working on Ramayana, which is the greatest story around. My childhood friend Namit Malhotra, someone so passionate about this project, has brought together the best of all artists, the creative team, and the crew. It is directed by Nitesh Tiwari.” The actor also praised producer

Ranbir revealed that he has already completed shooting for Part 1 of the two-part franchise, with Part 2 to follow soon. He expressed his humility in playing such an iconic role, stating, “Just to be a part of that story, I am so humbled to essay Ram’s role. It’s a dream for me. It’s a film that teaches us about Indian culture – family dynamics and husband-wife dynamics.”

Producer Namit Malhotra, who has long been passionate about adapting this epic, shared his vision for the film on X (formerly Twitter) in November. He wrote, “More than a decade ago, I embarked on a noble quest to bring this epic, which has ruled billions of hearts for over 5000 years, to the big screen. Today, I am thrilled to see it taking shape beautifully.” Malhotra also revealed the planned release dates for the two parts: Part 1 in Diwali 2026 and Part 2 in Diwali 2027.

The film boasts an impressive cast, with Ranbir Kapoor and Sai Pallavi playing Ram and Sita, respectively. Ravi Dubey has confirmed his role as Lakshman, while Kannada superstar Yash will portray Ravan. Fans eagerly await the grand release of this cinematic retelling of one of the most revered epics in Indian culture.
